8.25 (good) Really enjoyed the movie more than series. Too bad that they didn't have the same "touch" on the series as the movie. :/

9.00 (very good) Hiko Seijuro XIII, Hajime Saito and Aoshi Shinomori really make this series for me. Kenshin is funny and a good fighter at the snap of a finger, but it is really the supporting characters that make this an anime worth watching.

Samurai Champloo

7.75 (good) A comedic martial arts story, which has elements of drama here and there. Fuu's quest for sunflowers keeps things moving forward and the side stories along the way help to develop each of the characters.

7.50 (good) This series seemed so intriguing and so random... like it just sucked you in. Always curious what happens next. This tells a story really well. : )

8.50 (very good) This is a solid action/martial arts anime. Good fight scenes, comedy and story development. Elle is kind of aloof most of the time (unless it is in regards to fighting). Always wonder why there are not any prequels or sequels to this.

Shakugan no Shana

Last Updated: Dec 21, 2013

7.50 (good) The anime was enjoyable to watch when you need something to fill the time. Recommend reading the prequel manga, Shakugan no Shana: X Eternal Song, which is more engaging and has a better story.

6.50 (above average) Have read the manga and watched the series somewhat. From what I have read and watched, it is a rather interesting story. If more of it becomes available, I will probably finish it.

Spirited Away

9.75 (excellent) Just marvelous... from the little smoke/charcoal monsters that help Kamajii to Haku to Yubaba and her sister... just a really enjoyable movie that keeps you entertained and brings you into their world, for a short time. : )

Street Fighter

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Dec 21, 2013

6.00 (average) This was an alright movie to relax for an evening. It's a decent adaptation from the games, but there is not enough development of the story and characters. (for the characters, the production company is relying on the fanbase to already be familiar with the characters)

Sword Art Online

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Dec 21, 2013

7.50 (good) This feels like a variation of the .hack// universe. It's entertaining, but doesn't feel entirely original. To be able to game via a neural interface-like helmet is quite a scary thought. There are more health implications than possible benefits from the gaming experience.

8.75 (very good) Grew up with Tenchi Muyo... have watched it quite a few times. This was some of the best humor and sci-fi/fantasy situations all rolled up into one. Still would like my own Ryo-Ohki (meow! =^_^= )

Tenjou Tenge

6.50 (above average) The development of the characters and story is done rather well. The Masataka Takayanagi character seems rather whiny and 'woe is me' at times (makes him unappealing). Bob is one of the best characters in the story. He is a nice compliment to Souichiro and is always wanting to improve himself.

Tenkuu no Escaflowne

7.50 (good) Visions of Escaflowne (the movie)
A wonderful and imaginative movie to watch. From what I understand, it differs from the series in a few places. I have yet to watch the series, not sure if I ever will. Rather enjoyed the movie for what it had to offer. (must rewatch =b )

The Melancholy of Suzumiya Haruhi

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Nov 08, 2013

6.00 (average) This series didn't thrill me like all the hype I had read. :/ It was entertaining at parts... then other times it was just huh. Think this could have benefited from Haruhi not having such a short satisfaction with whatever she was doing, which also leads to such quick moves to something new.

The Tower of Druaga

Seen: completely

Last Updated: Oct 20, 2013

7.00 (above average) The Tower of Druaga: the Aegis of Uruk amd The Tower of Druaga: the Sword of Uruk

Went looking for anime with a DnD (Dungeons and Dragons) feel to it and stumbled upon Tower of Druaga. Must say that at glancing at it, I did not think it would be that great. It surprised and entertained much more than I thought. More of the back story could have been hashed out (to help understand what is going on), but it does alright for what they present. The mage seems a bit too weak (reliant on objects) though. :/

Toradora!

Last Updated: Nov 08, 2013

4.50 (moderate) Taiga is overly needy, clingy and wanting to be taken care of. This was a turn off and just couldn't keep reading with that kind of main character. If you want someone like that, then go hire a butler/maid.

Last Updated: Oct 20, 2013

8.25 (good) Really liked this series up until it started to get way too serious at the end... then it just felt like a guy walking to a death sentence (and not fun to watch). The more aloof and fun Vash is the best.

Last Updated: Mar 09, 2014

8.25 (good) This is turning out to be a really fun series to read. The trials that each character face in trying to understand what they need to do for the Dragon God gets you hooked into questioning who will win as the story progresses. Go Karin!

6.75 (above average) This is an enjoyable series to watch. The back story is not explained very well and only covered briefly. Some characters may seem a bit annoying at times. The 3D graphics feel out of place at times.

Last Updated: Dec 21, 2013

7.75 (good) This was one of the first anime I say as a child (before I even knew what anime was). A beautiful story about six heroes who man robotic lions and fight evil in the galaxy. The enemies vary, but are typically of one main organization and have a demon-like appearance.

Witch Hunter Robin

Last Updated: Oct 20, 2013

6.75 (above average) This series has more potential to it than what was shown on the DVDs. It would be nice to see more of Robin's character flushed out and how the STNJ group came about.

9.00 (very good) It is too sad that the manga was canceled. : ( Anyhow, the DVDs of this are a real eye opener on society and how mankind is harming the planet. There are those that love and protect the planet, then there are those that serve their own self interests.

10.00 (excellent) Oh, my goodness... this series is just hilarious. The comedy and timing are perfect! Laughing so much in every chapter. ^_^ Yotsuba has so many experiences and is full of energy all the time. Highly recommend this series.

"If there are times that your hands turn blue, then there are times they turn red." - Scruffy
"They don't turn red!" - Yotsuba
"No?!" - Scruffy
--------------------------
"No Lunch today" - Mr. Koiwai (Yotsuba's dad)
"What?!" - Yotsuba
"Dad! Dad!" - Yotsuba
"The backwards game, remember..." - Mr. Koiwai (Yotsuba's dad)
"Lunch... you mean no dinner either?!" - Yotsuba
"No, I mean we won't not have lunch." - Mr. Koiwai (Yotsuba's dad)

hehehehe

Last Updated: Nov 08, 2013

8.00 (good) This was a fun series to watch (despite the every once in a while annoying character, namely Botan or Koenma/Jr.). More back story and complimentary action with the demon world, Raizen, and the other two rules, Mukuro and Yomi, would have been nice.
